As part of the Roots Africa Changemakers Program IV, I had the privilege of leading a systems thinking session. During this session, we heard inspiring updates from our club presidents and pod leaders, who shared their progress, challenges, and achievements. It was fulfilling to see how far we had come as a team, and we also launched our midterm reporting to evaluate our journey toward graduation in September 2024.

This project was particularly meaningful to me, as it focused on empowering youth and fostering economic growth in farming communities across Africa. The session, held on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, was a great opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and how much we still have to achieve. The work we’re doing contributes to the UN SDGs and plays a crucial role in ensuring young people are at the forefront of social change, with a direct impact on the livelihoods of farming communities. It was truly rewarding to be part of a project that is making a difference.
